Lyndhurst Medical Centre and Bursted Wood Surgery proposed alliance

Why?

• To streamline patient services and increase same day access
• To create a more resilient organisation and build on the successful work we’ve done together over the last five years

How?

• Both practices will stay at their current location and initially keep their names
• Clinicians will work across both sites
• Patients will be able to book appointments at either location

When?

• Discussions with the Patient Participation Groups have been taking place for last six months
• Proposal being reviewed by the Integrated Care Board in May
• We will have ongoing patient communication during 2025
• Proposed completion date is 1 April 2026
